about

Gimson's freedom and creativity managed to pay off when UK hip hop legend Blak Twang agreed to feature on a track for his debut album Tramadol Dreams after seeing the spectacular Kountry Kartel video ‘New Day’ produced by close affiliates The Candy Farm. He says, “The buzz I got when Twang agreed to feature on Reality Check was out of this world. Having a legendary and respected artist like that agree to work with you is the shit so for me it was only right to drop Reality Check as the first single from the album.” With the awesome Ded Tebiase on production and further features from Rosko, Dane Gumas and Benji Clements, 'Reality Check' is definitely going to be a banger. Gimson says, “Although Reality Check is still a social commentary it’s probably the least dark track on the album but that shit bangs none the less.”

lyrics

Intro:
This is Blak Twang Rotonostrous Kountry Kartel
This time doesn't fly were just letting it escape
As were caught up unconscious of our negative states
And I'm just waiting on a good beat to take me away
Too many days spent wasting

Verse 1:
It's me the bringer of light
I'll sacrifice the darker for the glimmer in sight
But lurking in the shadows watch the sinner arise
Good is evil a shit or a shite
I guess it all depends on the direction of I
I know one thing we are not men we are mine
We must be less cuz we don't stand for our rights
Gyptian sung about some serious times
Kids find zeitgeist and think that they're wise
Mr fucking know it all's on radio 5
Speaking out of place cuz they ain't living that life
Perspective is way out of sight
Soldiers go to war and get robbed of their mind
But what's the reasoning behind the war that they fight
Brainwashed brain dead brain nullified
I remain vexed stay on top same till I die

Hook x2:
Reality Check 1 2
You've got to open your mind and move
Wake up to the lies and tell them the truth
Cuz we're the people
We're the people yeah.

Verse 2:
Reality bites like a venomous snake
The effects of the paralysis has left us in a committal state
So many get left brain dead overdosed on fate
Like zombies planted by sex lies and video tapes
The media make up stories sensationalised
Government cover up scandals telling nations their lies
I'm the last real nigga alive I survived
Cuz I never subscribed to these pagans lies
Can you handle the truth whether bitter or sweet
Everything ain't what it seems so believe half of what you see
The truth is in the government's name Con-Dem
They got sworn in my con men and left as condemned
Cleg and Cameron can hide but can't run
And I won't stop burning wild fire on your Kingdom
Rebel mc here to start the rebellion
Sell outs can get the hell out I ain't buying what you're selling them

Hook x2:
Reality Check 1 2
You've got to open your mind and move
Wake up to the lies and tell them the truth
Cuz we're the people
We're the people yeah.

Verse 3:
Reality check 1 2 what is this
Tv got you acting all retarded like dimwits
Barbaric religions, old age superstitions
Witch trials, modern victims, society we live in
Fake democracy and were trapped in the system
The papers & the news got you hating on islam
Fast food chains got the country diabetic
Girls don't feel photogenic so they become an anorexic
People camping out to get the latest Apple products
Advertising companies got the fucking world by its bollocks
Don't try tell me there's no need for fucking swearing
When half these mindless cunts are fucking way beyond caring
Social commentator logging my observations
Watching unjust wars sanctioned by United Nations
Bankers misbehaving and gambling your savings
Repossess your house then your out on the pavement

Hook x2:
Reality Check 1 2
You've got to open your mind and move
Wake up to the lies and tell them the truth
Cuz we're the people
We're the people yeah.

Verse 4:
We stay grounded like a paper weight, the grade will take the pain away
But forces us to alienate restraining us from sailing straight
People search for famous mates hoping it will change their fate
Trying to climb the layer cake, the layers make you lay awake
Can't escape this mental state finding that my jackets straight
Breaking arms like breaky break heart rate dramatic rate
It’s safe to say that at this rate regardless of my faceless face
Face the world in outer space, mask on my outer face
Breathing apparatus sniffing on the toxic waste
Before the beef was horse meat you would’ve said the steak was great
Poison on my fucking plate, lied to on a daily date
The governments a snakey shape, destruct and they dominate
Wake up and demonstrate knowledge is our saving grace
Arm up your pencil case, free your mind from the cage
In a world so bait and fake with fat fucks who hog the cake
How can you be real when reality’s a made up place

Hook x2:
Reality Check 1 2
You've got to open your mind and move
Wake up to the lies and tell them the truth
Cuz we're the people
We're the people yeah.
